Fighting COVID-19 | We are all in this together

As the coronavirus outbreak evolves quickly in the US, numbers of COVID-19 cases continue to rise. California, including the Greater Los Angeles area, has declared a state of emergency. Lack of personal protective equipment (PPE) for First Responders including frontline medical workers has become a top issue.

With the coordination of the Chinese Consulate-General in Los Angeles and the big support from CGCC Foundation, CGCC-Los Angeles quickly purchased and donated PPEs including 5,000 BYD KN95 masks, 500 3M N95 masks, 60,000 medical gloves to Valley Presbyterian Hospital through Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti’s Office.

Additionally, on April 9, led by Sherman Zhang, Chairman of CGCC-Los Angeles, and Chunli Zhao, Vice Chairman of CGCC-Los Angeles, 10,000 BYD KN95 masks were sent to three hospitals through the office of Los Angeles City Councilman Joe Buscaino, including: Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center-San Pedro, Kaiser Permanente of Harbor City, MLK Hospital in Watts. Please click here for recap.
